Ascension's Bronzebeard Classic+ alpha enters phase 3 with a level 60 cap

Ascension started phase 3 of the Bronzebeard alpha on 2 May 2025, raising the level cap to 60. Bronzebeard is an upcoming Classic+ realm for the original nine classes only. It will progress through Vanilla, TBC and WotLK content and applies years of Ascension's custom development to those classes.

Daily releases in phase 3

Testing moves fast in this phase, with new content released daily. The schedule includes Heroic dungeons, world bosses (Setis, Azuregos, Kazzak, Soggoth and the Nightmare Dragons), PvP progression, Zul'Gurub, Mythic dungeons, Crow's Cache, Molten Core, Onyxia and Classic Mythic+.

Classes and custom systems

Classes use WotLK talent trees with extra custom talents and spells, and there are new race and class combinations such as Troll Druid. The main focus is the open world, which gets new RPG elements, items, rares, world bosses and points of interest, with more than 19,000 elements and items planned in total.

• Overhauled crafting with upgrade kits and random affixes, plus the new Woodcutting and Woodworking professions
• Custom dungeons such as Karazhan Crypts, and raids with multiple difficulties including Mythic+
• A Hybrid Risk PvP system with a PvE, PvP and High-Risk toggle
• New battlegrounds
• Hardcore Trials and an Adventure Mode
• Cross-faction grouping, guilds and auction house
• Experience at x1.5
