Questions and answers

What is Private Server Hub?

Private Server Hub is an independent catalogue of World of Warcraft private servers, from Vanilla, The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King to Cataclysm and newer expansions. Every server page lists population, rates, realm type, features, website and Discord; players rate the servers in reviews and vote every month for Small Server of the Month. We don't host or run any server.

How many servers are listed?

199 right now: 159 active, 19 coming soon and 21 closed. Closed servers stay listed for reference, with the news about what happened to them, and the closed servers page lists them all with the dates and reasons we know. The server list filters them by expansion, rates, language, realm type and features, and WoW private servers in numbers breaks them down by expansion, population and language.

How are servers ranked?

Every active server gets a score out of 100. Player reviews count for 50%, weighted so that a server with only a few reviews stays close to the average of all servers. Estimated population counts for 35%, on a logarithmic scale where 10,000 players earn full marks, and years online count for 15%, up to five years. Upcoming and closed servers are listed separately and not ranked. See the best WoW private servers and the rankings for each expansion.

Where do the population numbers come from?

They are estimates from the servers and their communities, not exact counts. When a server's online counter includes bots, we show Unknown rather than an inflated number. Population counts for 35% of the ranking, on a logarithmic scale, so the biggest networks don't bury every smaller realm. The biggest servers by estimate and the totals per expansion are in WoW private servers in numbers.

How does Small Server of the Month work?

Every player account has one vote a month and can move it at any time; the count resets on the 1st. Only servers with up to 500 players (or no published player count) can be voted for, and the one with the most votes at the end of the month wins the title, a spot on our homepage and in our monthly email. See this month's standings.

How do reviews work?

Registered users can submit one review per server. Reviews should be honest and constructive. We monitor reviews to ensure they meet our community guidelines and may remove reviews that violate our policies.

How can I list my server?

Send the server name, website URL and a few details on our Discord or by email to contact@privateserverhub.com. Listing is free and our team reviews every suggestion. The For Server Owners page explains what to send, how to update a listing and how to add a review badge to your website.

How do I manage my account?

You can manage your account settings, including your profile and email preferences, through the user menu in the top right corner. If you need to delete your account, you can do so from your profile settings.

How is my data handled?

We take data privacy seriously. We only collect essential information needed to provide our services. Our analytics are privacy-focused and do not use cookies or collect personal data. You can learn more in our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account and all associated data from your profile settings. Once deleted, your account and all related data including reviews and votes will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
