Greyhaven launches: a fresh progressive Vanilla realm with a level 20 cap

Greyhaven launches: a fresh progressive Vanilla realm with a level 20 cap

Greyhaven opened on 14 August 2026 as a fresh, progressive Vanilla realm on the 1.12.1 client (Windows players can also use a Classic Era 1.14.2 client). The realm launched with a level 20 cap, keeping early dungeons, professions and world PvP relevant before higher brackets unlock.

Realm rules

  • x1 experience, PvP ruleset
  • Staged level caps: 20 at launch, 40 from 4 September 2026, 60 and raids to follow
  • No world buffs in raids and unlimited debuff slots
  • No pay-to-win

Quality-of-life changes

Greyhaven describes itself as community-shaped: decisions are put to votes and changes are tested carefully. Systems already live include:

  • Battleground queues from anywhere via chat commands (enabled realm-wide on 20 August)
  • A unified cross-faction auction house
  • Free talent respecs and dynamic respawns in busy zones
  • A player bounty board
  • Faction-specific world chat channels
  • Honour qualification set to a 15-kill minimum

Early progress

The cap rose from 20 to 40 on 4 September 2026. The project's Discord passed 700 members in its first month, modest next to the giants but active for a brand-new blizzlike-leaning realm, and it arrived just as many former Turtle WoW and Stormforge players were looking for a new Vanilla home.
