WoW Circle opens a 3.3.5 x4 realm with an optional single-life hardcore mode on 6 December

WoW Circle announced on 5 December 2025 that a new 3.3.5 x4 Hardcore realm would open on 6 December 2025 at 18:00 (GMT+3). The realm answers long-standing requests for a permadeath option inside the project's Wrath of the Lich King line-up.

No right to fail

The centrepiece is an optional mode called "No right to fail". Players who activate it get a single life: any death is final. Because x4 experience would make that too easy, anyone who opts in is automatically switched to x1 rates and faces additional restrictions designed for dedicated hardcore players.

Realm rules

• x4 experience, x2 for grey item drops and weapon skills, everything else x1
• Gradual content release rather than everything open on day one
• A blizzlike ruleset with no custom stat items and no changes that alter player power
• No pay-to-win mechanics, according to the announcement
• Selected convenience features borrowed from later expansions

WoW Circle framed the realm as something "truly new" for the project, which otherwise runs x1, x100 and Fun WotLK realms alongside TBC, Cataclysm, MoP, Legion, BfA and Shadowlands servers. The team noted development was still active and suggested players judge the core's stability on the existing 3.3.5a realms.
