Firestorm opens Battle for Azeroth: Reforged, a fresh BfA realm with the pain points removed

Firestorm's Battle for Azeroth: Reforged realm went live at the end of August 2026, with the launch post published on 29 August and trackers reporting more than 3,600 players queued as the doors opened. Reforged was teased in July as "BfA the way it should have been."

What's different from retail BfA

• Launches with Patch 8.0 content but uses 8.3.7 class tuning
• Warforging and Titanforging removed
• Heart of Azeroth level and progress shared account-wide; all rank-1 essences available from the start through vendors or alternative sources
• Account-wide cosmetics shared across expansions
• Flexible Mythic raiding; Uldir Mythic opens one week after launch
• x2 experience, and faster levelling for each additional class once a main reaches 120
• A dedicated hub, Plunderforged Bay, for all Reforged-specific features

Everyone starts fresh with no PTR progress carried over, and there was no name reservation. First-week login rewards included three mounts. Season 1 began immediately with a duration tied to player retention, and the cash shop was available at launch.

Firestorm in 2026

Reforged joins Dornogal, Firestorm's The War Within realm that followed retail patches 11.1 (March) and 11.2 (June), plus legacy WotLK, MoP and Cataclysm realms. Six older realms were retired on 29 June 2026.
