Ranked by reviews, population and track record · Updated October 2026

Best TBC WoW Private Servers 2026

Score out of 100. Player reviews count for 50%, estimated population for 35% and years online for 15%. No server can pay for a better position. How this ranking works

The Burning Crusade has fewer private servers than Vanilla or Wrath, but the ones that exist tend to be dedicated projects rather than side realms. Outland, heroics, attunements and the arena seasons are all here, usually released progressively so that guilds work through Karazhan, Serpentshrine Cavern and Black Temple in order.

The list below ranks every active TBC and progressive-TBC server in our catalogue by player reviews, population and track record. Because the category is small, also check the news section: TBC realms launch and close more often than Wrath realms, and a fresh launch is the best time to join.

    How this ranking works

Every active server gets a score out of 100 from three parts. Player reviews count for 50%. They are the star ratings of registered players, weighted so that a server with only a few reviews stays close to the average of all TBC servers until more players have rated it. Population counts for 35%, on a logarithmic scale so a 10,000-player network doesn't bury every smaller realm. Track record counts for 15% and measures how long the server has been running, up to five years.

Population figures are estimates from the servers and their communities, and a server without one gets no points for population. Servers that haven't launched and closed servers are listed separately. Nothing on this page is paid placement.

    What to look for

    Attunements matter

Most TBC servers keep the original attunement chains for Karazhan, Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep. Ask in the Discord which raids are open before you start leveling.

    Solo-friendly options

A few TBC servers add solo queue systems or scaled dungeons. They are great for small groups but less authentic; the tags on each card tell you which is which.

    Frequently asked questions

Are there any good TBC private servers in 2026?

Yes, though the choice is smaller than for other expansions. Right now our TBC ranking is led by Rising Gods - Back2Basics, GeekServers - TheGeekCrusade and Moonwell, and several multi-expansion networks run a 2.4.3 realm alongside their Wrath servers.

Which client do I need for TBC servers?

The 2.4.3 client. Servers provide a download link and either a realmlist address to edit or a launcher that configures it for you.

    Keep Private Server Hub online

Hosting, domain and e-mail cost about $120 a month, paid by one person. No ads, no paid placements.
