Centurion merges two Classic+ PvP realms and announces it is going open source

Centurion is a Classic+ PvP server that runs 1.12 content on the 3.3.5a client. It went through two big changes in September 2026.
Two realms become one
Until 18 September the project ran two realms: Legionnaire+, an instant level 60 server for PvP only, announced in March, and Barracks+, a levelling Classic+ realm in beta since June. On 18 September both became one realm, Centurion, and the characters came along.
- Former Legionnaire+ characters are now tournament characters: geared at level 60 from the first login, with their own bank and their own battleground and arena queues
- Former Barracks+ characters are world characters, with levelling, professions, full-loot hardcore zones, bounties and War Mode
- Battlegrounds and skirmish arenas fill up with AI players in under a second, sorted into easy, medium and hard tiers
- "Nothing is for sale. No shop, no donations, no store points, no supporter perks."
Going open source
On 26 September the developer announced: "We've decided to make EVERYTHING in CENTURION open-sourced." That covers every feature, world object and custom spell, so that anyone can run their own version. The post links to the code on GitHub. "I spent over 2 years making this server as a solo dev," the developer wrote, adding that with WoW Forever coming out, development will "slow (not stop)".
The realm is still called a beta. The busiest time is Friday Fight Night, every Friday at 9 PM Eastern time.
