GrimfallWoW opens a Conquest of Azeroth realm with 21 custom classes

Conquest of Azeroth, the second realm of the custom 3.3.5a server GrimfallWoW, opened on 16 October 2026. It runs Conquest of Azeroth, or CoA, the custom-class project that went away when Ascension's WoW realms went offline on 4 September. GrimfallWoW launched on 5 September, the day after, with the Classless Wildcard realm Whisperwind.
Level 20 to start
The new realm is a progressive release, and Phase 1 caps characters at level 20. The team says the cap comes with end-game content of its own, including scaled Heroic and Mythic dungeons. Later phases will raise the cap step by step and open more of Azeroth, but the announcement gives no dates for them.
21 classes
The realm brings 21 new classes, each with its own abilities, expanded talent trees and specializations. They are the Barbarian, Bloodmage, Chronomancer, Cultist, Felsworn, Guardian, Knight of Xoroth, Necromancer, Primalist, Pyromancer, Ranger, Reaper, Runemaster, Starcaller, Stormbringer, Sun Cleric, Templar, Tinker, Venomancer, Witch Doctor and Witch Hunter. Each class has a page on the GrimfallWoW website with its specializations, armor, resources and talents. The Knight of Xoroth, for example, wears plate and fights in melee with Rage and Demonfire, calling on demons from Xoroth.
GrimfallWoW isn't the only place to play these classes. Conquest Reborn, a small free realm run by one developer, has kept them playable since 9 September.
What else is on the realm
- More than 10 extra playable races, with Kezan and Gilneas as starting zones for Goblins and Worgen
- Prestige, which sends a max-level character back to level 1 to earn mounts, pets, transmog, heirlooms and Chrono Fragments
- Transmogrification with no gold fee and no class or armor-type limits
- A scaled Dungeon Finder from level 10 with no level brackets
- Refer-a-Friend rewards
As the cap rises, the realm opens the rest of GrimfallWoW's bigger world, with scaled Burning Crusade and Wrath dungeons and quests, The Stonecore and Lost City of the Tol'vir from Cataclysm, and Tol Barad as a daily zone.
To play, make a GrimfallWoW account, download the game from the website and pick the Conquest of Azeroth realm. Whisperwind keeps running, and its timeline puts 10-player Heroic Molten Core, Naxxramas, Gruul's Lair and Obsidian Sanctum on 28 October.
