One month in, Conquest Reborn keeps Conquest of Azeroth's custom classes playable

Conquest Reborn is a free 3.3.5a realm on TrinityCore where every class is custom. Its developer started it in early September to preserve the classes of Conquest of Azeroth, the custom-class project that went away when Ascension's WoW realms went offline on 4 September. The realm went live on 9 September 2026, and on 1 October the developer posted a look back at its first month.

"To be upfront about credit: I didn't design these classes," the developer wrote. "My part has been making them actually work." In the comments the developer added that the other projects reviving these classes run on AzerothCore, while Conquest Reborn uses TrinityCore.

The realm after a month

  • Every class is custom, and the stock classes are not on the character screen. Forging replaces talent tabs with a web of nodes bought from a point budget that grows as you level, and each character has three spec slots
  • The level cap is 60, and the vanilla raids are level 60 content again, Onyxia and Naxxramas included. Raids unlock on a release calendar
  • Dungeons run on Normal, Heroic, Mythic 0 and Mythic+ keystones, and holiday bosses are tuned for level 60
  • Starter zones are getting their custom storylines back one valley at a time: Deathknell and the Valley of Trials are done, and Northshire is next
  • Guilds, groups, the dungeon finder, trade, mail and the auction house work across factions. You pick a ruleset: PvE, War (faction PvP) or High-Risk, a free-for-all where dying in the open world costs you an equipped item and everything in your bags that isn't soulbound
  • Woodcutting and Woodworking are a new gathering and crafting pair. Professions cap at 300, and Jewelcrafting and Inscription are off
  • Conquest Logs on the website records every dungeon and raid run with damage and healing meters, next to a Gear Planner and a tier list per role

There is no flying, and Outland and Northrend are closed for now. Rates are x1. Class fixes go out in batches, lately one every day or two, with patch notes on Discord.

No wipe and no shop

The developer says the beta will not end with a wipe: testers who have played since the start keep their level 60 characters, and the move to a full launch is meant to happen gradually, "not a reset button". There is no shop, no donations, no subscription and no priority queue. In the comments the developer put the server costs at 10 to 20 dollars a month and said a stress test held about 1,400 players spread around the world, or about 900 in one place.

The population is still small, so groups for keys and raids depend on who is online. To play, make an account on the website and download the Windows launcher from your account page, where the Discord invite is too.
