Serpentshrine Cavern opens on Warborn TBC

Warborn WoW announced on 25 October 2025 that the gates of Serpentshrine Cavern were open on its progressive Burning Crusade realm. The raid brings six bosses, from Hydross the Unstable and The Lurker Below through to Lady Vashj, and drops Tier 5 loot for guilds that have been working through the Karazhan and Gruul's Lair phase.

What players need to know

• Six bosses and full Tier 5 loot tables
• Attunement is required – the classic Vashj attunement chain must be completed before you can zone in
• The raid was released as its own progression step rather than alongside Tempest Keep, so guilds have a single new instance to focus on

Warborn positions itself as a progressive 3.3.5a-based server that recreates earlier expansions with staged raid releases, dungeons and arena seasons. Serpentshrine Cavern marks the start of its Tier 5 era and follows the pattern the project uses of announcing each raid opening through its Discord and community news outlets.

For raiders, the timing lines up with the original TBC progression: Tier 4 gear from Karazhan, Gruul and Magtheridon is the expected entry point, and the attunement gate means guilds need to complete the Heroic Slave Pens and other prerequisite steps before their first pull on Hydross.
