Shadowburn counts down to 15 December 2027 for a Wrath realm with every raid at level 80

Shadowburn has a new landing page, last updated on 2 September 2026, with a countdown to 15 December 2027. The idea is a fresh Wrath of the Lich King realm on the 3.3.5a client where every raid ever made, from Molten Core to Icecrown Citadel, still has a reason to exist.

The plan

• One level cap and one climb, with every raid rescaled to level 80
• No pay-to-win: the shop will sell cosmetics only
• A non-commercial, fan-made project

There is nothing else on the page yet: no registration, no download and no realm status. Its Discord button is not linked, but discord.shadowburn.net leads to the Discord, which had about 220 members in October 2026. The page sets no time zone, so the countdown runs to midnight in your own.

Not the first Shadowburn

The name goes back years. Shadowburn ran realms from 2018, including Frozen Nexus, which launched on 5 May 2019. In 2022 the team announced a custom realm for December, later moved to mid-January 2023, and we found no sign that it ever opened. That Discord has existed since 2017.
