WarCrown moves its Crystalsong realm to the Wrath Classic 3.4.5 client

WarCrown moved its Crystalsong realm to the Wrath of the Lich King Classic 3.4.5 client on 12 September 2026; the switch was pushed back from 15:00 to 18:00 UTC on the day. Most Wrath private servers still run the original 3.3.5a client, and WarCrown presents itself as the first WotLK Classic server on the modern client.

Existing accounts and characters were kept, so there was no wipe.

What the new client brings

• Titan Rune dungeons in three tiers, Alpha, Beta and Gamma, as an endgame path at level 80
• Naxxramas, Obsidian Sanctum, Eye of Eternity and Vault of Archavon in 10 and 25-player modes, plus twelve Northrend heroic dungeons
• Arena seasons with personal ratings, the major battlegrounds and Wintergrasp
• Features of the modern client such as in-game voice chat and an expanded friends list
• A progressive realm with x2 rates

The first weeks

• 20 September: cross-faction premade groups went live for dungeons and raids. A round-up listed 44 changes in the first nine days, including rebuilt encounters in Utgarde Keep, The Nexus, Ahn'kahet, Azjol-Nerub, Drak'Tharon Keep and The Culling of Stratholme, restored quest texts in every language and fixes to the dungeon queue
• 21 September: Recruit-A-Friend opened with up to 10 recruits per account and 30-day links

WarCrown is free to play. It does not use Discord; news and support run through its website.
