WowAddicts adds two new one-life modes: Dungeon Nightmare and Nightmare Mode 110

WowAddicts announced on 7 December 2025 that it had added two new hardcore modes "just a few days ago". With the older Survival Mode, the Legion server now has three. In all of them a character has one life, and dying deletes the character and all its progress.
The three modes
- Survival Mode: x1 experience, no trading, mail, guild bank or auction house, and no PvP. Players can group only with others in Survival or Dungeon Nightmare who are within three levels of them.
- Dungeon Nightmare (new): experience is turned off, and the only way to level is to finish dungeons. Characters start at level 15 with gear for that level, and each dungeon gives one level. Players run Vanilla dungeons up to level 40, then move on to The Burning Crusade, and so on through each expansion up to Legion. The Survival rules apply here too.
- Nightmare Mode 110 (new): characters start at level 110 in item level 650 gear, with no restrictions and PvP on.
Players pick a mode at level 1 by taking its quest from an NPC in any starting zone or in Orgrimmar and Stormwind. Finishing Survival or Dungeon Nightmare gives 5,000 WowAddicts coins, a title and the War Fox mount, and at level 110 the character becomes a normal one.
A progressive realm in testing
On 6 November 2025 WowAddicts also announced an alpha realm to test progressive Legion content. The plan was patch 7.1 from 8 November, 7.2 from 6 December and 7.3 from 3 January 2026. The team wrote that it wanted to launch the realm later as a fresh option for players who like progression, with each patch lasting six months and two PvP seasons per patch. The server hasn’t posted about the alpha since.
