Emberveil

Emberveil is a Vanilla World of Warcraft realm on patch 1.12.1, played through its own Unreal Engine 5 client that builds on the Unreal Azeroth project. The realm opened on 15 August 2026. For now the client keeps the classic look; an optional modern renderer with new lighting is planned once Unreal Azeroth's next milestone, expected in winter 2026, is integrated. Rates are x1, and the single Normal realm lets players turn on a PvP flag when they want. Content is released over six phases: Phase I opened Molten Core, Onyxia's Lair and all levelling dungeons, with the honor system and all three battlegrounds earlier than in original Vanilla. The client adds built-in proximity voice chat, a Dungeon Finder and Group Browser and transmogrification, and three optional challenge modes (Questbound, Deathbound and Battlebound) can be combined; a Hardcore mode is announced. Sign-ups are open for a closed beta of an Android client. The community is English-speaking, with the site also in Spanish, Russian and Chinese. The team calls Emberveil non-commercial; it accepts cryptocurrency donations, and its rules limit the shop to cosmetics and optional services.
