Ex Machina

Ex Machina is a Mists of Pandaria server on the 5.4.8 client, running on the EmuCoach MoP Premium core. It started in 2025 as a new home for players from Warmane’s Frostwolf realm after Warmane announced that realm’s closure, and it has since opened up to everyone. Rates are x5 experience and x3 drops. The realm is PvP, but the rules forbid toxic behavior and ganking in the open world. The world also has 300 AI companion bots. You can invite them to your group for questing, dungeons and raids, they fill the queues for Raid Finder, battlegrounds and arenas, and you can duel them or fight the other faction’s bots out in the world. Multiboxing is allowed with 2 to 10 accounts at once, and the admin runs a ten-character team to carry new and casual players through Normal and Heroic raids. After you log in, the website gives you an armory and leaderboards that leave out the bots, read-only views of the regular and Black Market auction houses, and a raid and dungeon planner where you sign up your characters for events. The shop follows the old Warmane model and sells cosmetics, services and high-tier gear. The team calls it a catch-up mechanic, since the realm opened with players who had already progressed to the endgame. If you don’t donate, you can vote three times a day for points that buy items, bags, gold and teleports. In October 2026 the team offered 5,000 shop points to anyone who registers through its Reddit page, which can go toward a level 90 boost, a fast mount, 28-slot bags or starter raid gear. Purchases arrive by in-game mail, so create a character before you shop. Former Frostwolf players can ask on Discord to have an old character recreated. The Discord had 41 members in October 2026.
