Frontier

Frontier is a Vanilla+ PvP realm for Europe that will run on the 3.3.5a client. Its developer announced it on Reddit on 4 October 2026 after a long development period. A beta for testers is expected in the coming weeks, and the launch is set for the end of November 2026. It uses the old Vanilla world with a level cap of 60, and the aim is to keep the feel of Vanilla while making leveling faster and the endgame more polished and challenging for both PvE and PvP players. Classes and specs, races, professions and recipes, dungeons, raids and itemization have all been reworked, and Jewelcrafting is added. Raids keep their normal version, and Molten Core, Blackwing Lair and later raids also get a Heroic version with reworked mechanics and better loot. In PvP, honorable kills will give experience and gold along with honor from launch. The plans also include rated battlegrounds, reworked reputation rewards, city raids with objectives and weekly PvP zones with extra honor, reputation and resources. Outland and Northrend may be added later, still with a level cap of 60 and with more horizontal progression. The project is strictly non-profit, with no shop of any kind, not even for cosmetics. For now the website shows only a Coming soon page, and the developer is gathering players and beta testers on Discord.
