Frontier

Frontier is a Vanilla+ PvP realm for Europe on the 3.3.5a client, a free fan project whose developer announced it on Reddit on 4 October 2026 after a long development period. A public beta opens to everyone on 15 October 2026, with Beta NPCs that boost characters to any level, and all accounts and characters are wiped before the launch on 28 November 2026. Molten Core, Onyxia’s Lair and Dire Maul follow on 12 December, then the other raids one at a time in the vanilla order, with Karazhan re-tuned for level 60 after Naxxramas. Outland and Northrend are planned later as level 60 content, so the cap stays at 60 the whole way. Experience is x3, while loot, gold, reputation and honor stay at x1. In the beta each player can also set any rate from x1 to x50 with the .xp command. The old world and 1.12 mechanics stay, with targeted talent and racial changes for every class and race, tier sets for every specialization (Tier 0.5 included), hundreds of reworked BoE recipes and Jewelcrafting up to 300. Raids keep their vanilla sizes of 40 and 20 players, and world buffs work as in 1.12. After launch, a group whose members have all cleared a raid can pick Heroic boss by boss, with harder mechanics and better loot. There is no Dungeon Finder, and Draenei, Blood Elves and Death Knights are left out. In PvP, players earn their rank from the highest rating they reach in rated Warsong Gulch, and a rank is never lost. Once a week players march on an enemy capital, and each week one contested zone gets richer gathering and bonus PvP rewards. It has no store, no subscription and no cosmetic tier.
