About Ravencraft
Ravencraft is a free-to-play Vanilla+ server that opened on 22 August 2026. It runs Turtle WoW's Mysteries of Azeroth content at patch 1.18.1, Nightmares of Ursol, on an updated client. Turtle WoW worked on that content from 2018 until it shut down in May 2026, and the team says Ravencraft is led by former Turtle WoW contributors. The level cap is 60, and the new content runs alongside the original game. It adds playable High Elves and Goblins, new race and class combinations, new factions, zones, dungeons and raids, Tier 3.5 class sets, updated talent trees and new professions. Its realm, Medivh, uses mixed PvE-PvP rules. Experience rates are x1, the rested experience bonus is raised to 70%, and players on the optional Slow and Steady challenge get increased rewards. PvP dampening is set to 0% for now and will scale up in later phases. A launcher installs and sets up the client on Windows, macOS or Steam Deck in one click, with addons from a curated catalog. Public chat is English-only, the server is hosted in Europe, and the team says GMs answer in-game tickets around the clock. There is no donation shop yet. The team is looking at adding one, and its terms of service say donations give no in-game advantage.

Hey guys, I hope you become the next Turtle WoW. I'm not active on the server right now, but I'm closely following your project. I really appreciate how well you moderate the Discord and the game, and how communicative you are. If you’re ex-Turtle WoW devs, you clearly know the ropes. I used to play here but dropped off-not because of the low pop, but because updates were too rare and there was way too much radio silence about development. That said, right now your server feels the closest to the true Turtle WoW vibe. Show us you really are Turtle WoW, not just Raven. We all want that Turtle WoW experience, no matter the name! I'm leaving a 5-star review for everything... but that's because I'm hoping you'll deliver what everyone's waiting for!

Really solid server with promising potential. Smooth and fun to play but the population is very low, however if you're more of a lone wolf and enjoy questing it's fantastic. The low population encourages more cooperation and those who develop their professions are highly valued community members. It is very relaxing, there is no FOMO due to the population size and people seem to be playing at their own pace as the original team intended. My only major critique is that staff/developers are a bit distant. People have been asking about enabling Silithus Lords so they can obtain their last part of Tier.05 ,however we haven't heard anything any Molten Core is close to releasing. Sometimes chat goes unmoderated, sometimes bugs go unfixed (like the +5 mining to pick axe enchant in Ratchet). We need more present/visible staff & consistent moderation.
Played for a bit, queued for a BG with bad ping, entered the BG got a huge ping spike and got disconnected, i was near windhorn canyon when i entered but after it kicked me out i was near the elevators in 1k needles. i ran for like 30 seconds to where i was heading then i got rubber banded again back like 100 yards. I decided to exit game and reconnect, upon reconnecting it said i was banned. i explained my situation and they just said their anticheat confirmed i was speedhacking, ticket closed no way to respond at all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pros: Allows me to enjoy WoW again using the Turtle WoW 1.18.1 client. Cons: Low population, around 200 players online. Staff Support: No personal experience with GM support, so I can't comment on their responsiveness or professionalism. However, I've heard negative feedback from other players.

Actual 1.18 code, not the leaked 1.17 plus an artists interpretation. Devs are a bit behind on fixing very minor issues but it's the best implementation of TWOW since the shutdown by far.
