Draevor Project plans Farahlon, a cut Warlords of Draenor zone, as a new endgame island

Draevor Project, a Warlords of Draenor server in testing, announced on 4 October 2026 that it is building Farahlon, a zone that was cut from the expansion. Farahlon is a large island northeast of Draenor, "the ancient, unbroken version of the land that would eventually become Netherstorm".
"This won't simply be a small custom area added to the map. Farahlon is being developed as a fully explorable endgame zone, designed to feel like a natural extension of Warlords of Draenor," the announcement says.
What is planned
- The whole island on the Draenor world map
- A new storyline and quest campaign that starts with an expedition from Shattrath City
- Iron Horde operations and the Blightstone Quarry
- Crystals and arcane activity, new rares, treasures and bonus objectives, and ancient ruins to explore
- Transport between Shattrath and Farahlon
"Our goal is to expand the unfinished world of Warlords of Draenor and imagine what Farahlon could have become if its development had continued," the team writes. The zone is "currently in development", and no date has been given. Draevor itself has no launch date yet: its test realm opened to a small group of testers on 26 September.
