Frostmourne adds Paragon, account-wide progression for level 80 characters

Frostmourne, Whitemane's WotLK: Rebuffed realm, added Paragon on 21 October 2026. It is progression for the account, not for one character. Every level 80 character you have on the realm feeds the same Paragon level, so switching characters never means starting over. Whitemane built it around one rule, that it must not give anyone an edge in competitive play, so it adds no stats and no talent points.
Earning Paragon XP
- Paragon unlocks for the whole account once any character is level 80. Since a patch on 22 October the intro quest from Rhonin in Dalaran is optional, and it still gives 300 XP
- XP comes from Heroic dungeon bosses and Random Heroics, raid bosses once a week, daily quests, battlegrounds, rated arena and Wintergrasp, and from winning one of the two fishing tournaments. Trash, arena skirmishes and holiday bosses give nothing
- Rewards that are limited to once a day or once a week pay half on every character after the first, so swapping characters doesn't multiply them
- The 22 October patch also halved the XP from rated arena and took back XP earned in win-traded matches
32 perks
From Paragon 2 you pick a perk every three levels, and by Paragon 95 you can have all 32. They save time rather than add power. Flight Mastery halves the cost of flight paths and makes them twice as fast, Bottomless Pockets adds four slots to your backpack, Anywhere Is Home lets you choose your Hearthstone destination on the world map, and Witness to Glory teaches you the appearances of what a boss drops, whoever loots it. A few perks speed up Honor, Conquest, Justice or Valor. Resetting your perks costs 500 gold for each one you've learned.
Rewards and rankings
- A reward at Paragon 4 and then every six levels up to 100. The first are an Unclaimed Black Market Container, the Cinder Kitten pet at Paragon 10 and the Bonesteed of Triumph mount at 22, and rewards from Paragon 34 on will be announced later
- 66 new achievements worth 760 points, plus player and guild rankings
- Path of War characters have full access, and Hardcore characters join once their challenge is over
The climb gets steep. Paragon 1 to 2 costs 400 XP, Paragon 30 to 31 costs 5,200, and costs rise much faster after Paragon 70.
Also new on Frostmourne
- 20 October: Master Riding at level 80 for 5,000 gold raises flying mounts from 280% to 310% speed. Zul'Gurub, the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj and Zul'Aman switched to seven-day lockouts that reset on Wednesday, and Call to Arms is back
- 20 October: any Dungeon Finder group can summon the Headless Horseman once per instance without the daily quest. Rings became personal loot, and the mount now comes from the daily Loot-Filled Pumpkin at 5% instead of 1%
- 22 October: the weekly Conquest allowance rose from 2,000 to 7,000, and the Accord of Conquest event gives 50% more Conquest until 28 October at 09:00 server time
