Whitemane - Frostmourne

Heroic Naxxramas, Malygos and Sartharion open on Frostmourne

Heroic Naxxramas, Malygos and Sartharion open on Frostmourne

Frostmourne, Whitemane's Wrath of the Lich King realm, opened Heroic Tier 7 on 7 October 2026 at 20:00 server time. Naxxramas, The Eye of Eternity and The Obsidian Sanctum now have Heroic modes for both 10 and 25 players, a week after their Normal versions opened.

These Heroic modes are Whitemane's own design. They were built for WotLK: Rebuffed, the reworked Wrath that Frostmourne has run since 19 September, and the team kept adjusting their tuning, warnings and visual effects during testing. Most fights keep their familiar shape and give the raid one new job.

Naxxramas

  • Anub'Rekhan: every Locust Swarm leaves a Carrion Wake trail that damages and slows players and stays until the fight ends, so each kite has to leave room for the next
  • Grand Widow Faerlina: worshippers sacrificed with Widow's Embrace come back as Risen Worshippers casting Vengeful Blight, an interruptible three-second cast
  • Maexxna: Web Wrap traps two players in 10-player and four in 25-player, and every cocoon left alive stacks a healing reduction on the raid
  • Noth the Plaguebringer: a player cleansed of his curse has a moment to move before a damaging pool appears under them
  • Heigan the Unclean: starting 20 seconds in, he sends a small team into the Eye Stalk tunnel, and it has to fight its way back on foot
  • Loatheb: players carrying Volatile Spores must stand at a Purifying Mushroom when the spores go off, and if one of them dies for any reason, Spore Catastrophe follows
  • Instructor Razuvious: Disciplinary Shout slows the casting of anyone in his line of sight, and Jagged Knife spreads to players within 8 yards when it runs out
  • Gothik the Harvester: Soul Convergence deals growing Shadow damage to marked players until they stand together, and the opening phase is cut to three minutes
  • The Four Horsemen: every Horseman that dies adds a stack of Horsemen's Dirge, and each stack makes the raid take 35% more damage
  • Patchwerk: no new mechanic, only Heroic tuning, and his Hateful Strike was toned down during testing
  • Grobbulus: Volatile Bile follows a marked player, and its damage is split between everyone within 8 yards when it lands
  • Gluth: the fight is still about tank swaps and Zombie Chow, and the Terrifying Roar mechanic tried during development was dropped
  • Thaddius: at 1% he returns to full health once, and every 10% he loses after that sets off a Tesla Burst, which takes 90% of each player's current health and makes both the raid and Thaddius stronger
  • Sapphiron: Frostbite makes a player take much more Frost damage until they are healed to full, and Piercing Frost stacks on the tank and forces swaps
  • Kel'Thuzad: the fight skips the opening gauntlet, his guardians join at 60%, and after his first defeat the raid has to destroy his phylactery before he comes back at 35% with a frontal Freezing Blast

The Eye of Eternity and The Obsidian Sanctum

  • Malygos: in the first phase, one ranged player in 10-player or two in 25-player get Arcane Feedback, which raises their damage and healing but hits everyone within 10 yards with the same amount as Arcane damage
  • Sartharion: Twilight Blackout absorbs healing on its target and explodes when it ends, with the damage split between players within 8 yards, so the raid gathers before it goes off. Tenebron's portals now make six Twilight Eggs instead of twelve

Whitemane says it is recording every raid log and will publish them on its website.
