Incursion moves its launch forward to 12 June and lays out its raids to 2027

Incursion moved its launch forward by a week, to 12 June 2026 at 20:00 Central European time (18:00 UTC), and published its roadmap for Phase I on 2 June. The realm had been set to open on 19 June.

Incursion is an instant level 60 realm on the 3.3.5a client. Characters start at 60 with the Wrath of the Lich King class system, and progression starts in a reworked Vanilla endgame: custom quest hubs, reworked reputations, daily quests, dungeons, PvP and Mythic+. Every reworked dungeon and raid gets new boss encounters and reworked loot, and every talent specialisation gets its own tier set.

Phase I roadmap

  • 12 June 2026: launch, with the first raid storyline starting in Azshara and the first Mythic+ season
  • 24 June 2026: Molten Core and Onyxia, both rebuilt with new bosses and mechanics
  • September 2026: reworked five-player Maraudon and Vanilla Dire Maul
  • October 2026: Blackwing Lair, with new tier sets
  • February 2027: Zul'Gurub
  • June 2027: Ruins and Temple of Ahn'Qiraj
  • October 2027: Naxxramas, the end of Phase I
  • 2028 and beyond: The Burning Crusade, with the level cap raised to 70

Each major raid starts a new Mythic+ season, which resets seasonal progress and raises the highest rewarded Mythic+ level.

How Mythic+ works

The team explained the system in April. Instead of keystones, players use an Ethereal Contract, one free per day from an NPC or bought with Badges of Incursion, the realm's main currency. A contract works for any eligible dungeon at any level, so there is no key to level up or lose, and a failed run only uses up that day's free contract.

  • 30 levels, each adding 10% to creature health and damage, with affixes from level 4 that reroll daily at 09:00 realm time
  • Rewards only for levels 1 to 10, once per level per day: badges, Cataclysm dungeon transmog cases, and at level 10 a case with Firelands transmog and a rarer chance at a Tier 11 piece
  • No upgraded gear, because the team does not want five-player gear to rival raid gear
  • A seasonal Grand Prix leaderboard instead of a rating: the top six timed runs of each dungeon score 10, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points, and a higher level always beats a lower one. The season's top six players get a title, and the winner a mount of their own

"There will be no donation or shop systems on Incursion," the developer wrote.
