Incursion starts a semi-classless glyph rework as Blackwing Lair nears

Incursion announced on 18 September 2026 that it is reworking the Wrath of the Lich King glyph system into what it calls Semi-Classless. Characters on the realm already start at level 60 with all level 80 spells, talents and glyphs. The rework comes in three stages:

  • Classless Minor Glyphs: each can hold the top-rank effect of any passive talent aura, from any class
  • Classless Major Glyphs: every class spell, including spells taught by talents, becomes a Major Glyph. Using one teaches your character that spell, and every class gets all power types so the borrowed spells work
  • Legendary Glyphs: a new glyph slot whose effects have not been decided yet

The realm's guild page says the new classless glyph system "has been introduced", with more news to follow on Discord.

Blackwing Lair next

The next raid is a reworked Blackwing Lair, which the developer put at "around October 2026" in late August. Every talent specialisation gets a new tier set, all of its gear is reworked to fit the rest of the realm, and the June roadmap ties it to a new Mythic+ season.

Since launch

Incursion opened on 12 June. By early July it had 185 registered accounts, and its starter guild had killed 3 of the 10 bosses in the rebuilt Molten Core, where raids scale to the size of the group. Reworked Maraudon and Vanilla Dire Maul came out in late August, ahead of the September date on the roadmap. On 30 August the guild killed Heart of the Firelord, the ninth boss, after three resets of attempts, and took Ragnaros to 40% straight after. The guild ranking still showed Molten Core at 9 of 10 on 4 October.

The developer says Incursion is a nonprofit project that accepts no donations of any kind and will stay that way.
