Old Man Warcraft switches to progression per character and adds a Nemesis System

Old Man Warcraft, a Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a server on AzerothCore, changed how its progression works in March 2026.
When the server first advertised itself on Reddit in early February, the whole realm moved together: the level cap rose in stages, such as 19, 29 and 39. By 25 March its posts described "True Individual Progression" instead. Each character goes through Vanilla, The Burning Crusade and Wrath in order, and NPCs, drops, encounters and world states react to that character’s progression. Friends at different stages still share one world.
The Nemesis System
The 25 March post was also the first to mention a custom Nemesis System, which remembers the enemies that have beaten you. A creature that kills you can come back stronger as your Nemesis. By April the server described ranks from 1 to 5 and above and affixes such as Vampiric, Enraged and Spellward, with revenge rewards for the player it beat and bounties for everyone else. A NemesisTracker addon shows where your rivals were last seen.
Also listed by late March
- Guild villages and guild housing
- City sieges and other large faction events
- Instanced world bosses
- Solo-queue 3v3 and rated 1v1 arenas
- Experience and reputation at 1.5x, with XP boosts on weekends
The server calls itself "WotLK, Reimagined for Adults". Playerbots fill groups and the world, and bots and NPCs chat through real language models.
