OnlyFunsWoW opens a custom WotLK server for Oceania players

OnlyFunsWoW, a custom Wrath of the Lich King server hosted in Australia, was announced on Reddit on 14 July 2026. The owner's wife wrote the post, because the owner's own Reddit account didn't have enough karma, and it gave a plain reason for the server: "I'm just sick of having 300ms on euro/us servers."

What it offered at launch

• An XP rate you choose from x5 to x25, and a hardcore mode with better rewards
• Content scaled for solo play, and parties of your own alts that you control like bots, from the same account or another one
• Diablo-style random stats on uncommon and better items, and a reforge to lower or raise certain stats
• A custom questline that tells the Ashbringer's story and ends with the sword, scaled to Shadowmourne level
• All the old legendaries scaled to item level 284, with their original quests
• The AQ40 mount questline with no time limit
• A roguelike dungeon mode where you keep clearing dungeons at rising difficulty, and Mythic+ dungeons with mounts and items you can't get elsewhere

There are no donations, and the post promised custom bosses later. On 22 July, a week after launch, a second post said the server was "sitting at 10-20 players" and named two more features: account-wide mounts and flight paths, and 10 talent points that a level 80 character with 51 points in one tree can spend in another tree without the usual 5-points-per-tier rule.
