Project Rx opens an all-GM roleplay server for WotLK 3.3.5a

Project Rx, a roleplay server for the 3.3.5a client where every player is a GM, was announced on Reddit on 2 April 2026. It is a one-person project, and its creator says it should feel a bit like Echeloned-WoW or Divinity-X "back in the day (2008-2013)".

"Every player gets full GM commands from the start. Morph, teleport, equip anything in the game. No grinding, no gates," the post says. The focus is on building and roleplay, not progression.

What you can build

The team's posts describe:

• Phases: private copies of the world that you control, down to the weather. You place objects, spawn NPCs, set a teleport point and invite others to help build
• NPCs you design yourself, with the armor and weapons you choose and your own dialogue options
• Custom items made in a web panel, where you name them, write a description and pick the appearance and stats
• Events you set up for other players to find in game

There is a donor tier with some extras, but free players have nearly everything.

Since launch

The posts have been updated since April. In late June the server added a Shared Phase where everyone builds together: it holds all the original NPCs and objects up to Wrath of the Lich King, and players can delete and restore them or add their own for everyone to see. By October the server also had PlayerBots, in your phases, in the open world and in battlegrounds, and on 2 October the team invited players on Reddit to try them.
