RevelationWoW opens its beta to everyone, with levels 1 to 20 finished

RevelationWoW opened its beta to all players on 2 September 2025, in a post titled "Open Beta Has Arrived!". The custom Vanilla server on a heavily modified 3.3.5 client says everything from level 1 to 20 is done: player housing, world bosses, spells, classes and races.

A day earlier the creator wrote on Reddit that the open beta was live again and "here to stay" while development continues. The level cap is 20, and the launcher has been dropped for now in favour of a direct client download.

What comes next

The post lists the work ahead:

  • Mail servers for the website
  • A stable, working launcher
  • Growing the player base again
  • The 20 to 40 bracket, for which the team is recruiting volunteers and paid developers

The creator admits to being bad with deadlines and gives none. On 29 October 2025 the 20 to 40 bracket was "done soon tm".

What the first 20 levels have

The creator's October post lists what is already in the game:

  • The Necromancer, the server's one custom class
  • Goblin and Worgen, plus Murloc and Tuskarr as custom races
  • Reworked talent trees for every class (one Rogue tree was still missing)
  • Player housing on land you buy in the open world, with woodcutting and construction professions
  • Optional PvP zones where you drop your gear, still a work in progress
  • Free transmogrification and free druid form looks
  • Minigames such as racing in what used to be the Shimmering Flats and a zombie deathmatch

The shop sells only cosmetics and services: wings, emotes, flags, and a few downported mounts and pets.

When we looked on 4 October 2026, the website still said "We're In Open Beta!" and had no newer news post.
