Smolderforge brings back 1v1 solo queue

Smolderforge re-enabled 1v1 solo queue on 12 April 2026. The news post is a single line: "1v1 solo queue has been re-enabled!"

Some history

Smolderforge is an instant level 70 Burning Crusade server built around arenas and battlegrounds, and it has been running since 2008. In June 2024 the team swapped 1v1 for 2v2 solo queue and moved the mall back to Eversong Woods, where it stood from 2019 to 2022. The FAQ also lists 3v3 solo queue, arena spectating, transmogrification, dual specialization and an instant gear-up NPC. Season 58 of the arena ladder ended in December 2023.

How busy is it

The April post was the first news since June 2024. Battlegrounds are rare: on 4 October 2026 the five most recent games in the site's battleground history, all Warsong Gulch, went back more than a year, and the newest was 20 days old.
