About Smolderforge

Smolderforge is an instant level 70 PvP server for The Burning Crusade on patch 2.4.3, and it has been running since 2008. Arenas are the heart of it: the ladder is in Season 59, there is solo queue for 3v3 and 2v2, and 1v1 solo queue came back in April 2026. New characters can take Season 3 and Tier 5 gear for free from a gear-up NPC. Season 4 gear comes from honor and arena points, and Tier 6 and Sunwell Plateau items from Badges of Justice earned through daily quests, heroics or the custom raid. Transmog, dual spec, an arena spectator mode and a race change NPC are included, reputation gains are x3 and everything else is x1. The server is hosted in Western Europe, and the website offers client downloads for Windows and macOS. Very few people play now: the online list on the website showed no more than one player at a time during checks on 4 October 2026, and the battleground history records only 9 matches between October 2024 and September 2026. The Discord is large, with about 2,500 members. The website has a donation page, but it needs an account, so what donations give could not be checked.
