Unlimited-WoW rebuilds its forum and ships a new launcher

Unlimited-WoW, a level 255 Wrath of the Lich King funserver running since 2017, brought its forum back on 1 October 2026 after a long time offline. On 3 October it followed with a new launcher and changes to the website.

The forum

The original forum database was lost, so the staff rebuilt what they could. Old posts were recovered from the Web Archive and sit, locked, in their old sections with their original names and dates. Announcements, changelogs, rules, guides, addons and macros from the server's Discord were copied over so they are easy to find and search.

• You log in with your Unlimited-WoW game account. The public forum name you pick the first time can't be changed later
• In-game events such as Hide & Seek, Noggenfogger, Stairs and the PvP events are posted automatically in an Events section, one thread a day, with start times and winners
• Private support tickets that only you and the staff can see
• World and General chat from the game, and world boss kills, appear live at the top of the forum for logged-in members

"From now on, news and changelogs will be posted here first," the announcement says.

The new launcher

The Windows launcher, version 2.0.1, replaces the old one:

• New players get the full game client installed with one click, and downloads resume where they stopped
• Server patches install automatically, and the launcher sets the realmlist for you
• If you already have a 3.3.5a client, you just point it at the game folder
• Forum news, changelogs and events, live server status, and the top 10 of the current PvP season with a countdown to its end
• A button that clears the cache, and the launcher updates itself

The website and the forum now also work on phones and tablets.
