WOTLK5 announces a fresh Season 2 realm for 5 August

WOTLK5 will open Season 2, a fresh seasonal realm, on 5 August 2026, and raids unlock on 12 August at 19:00. The team announced the season on 6 July and shared the project's numbers since it started in August 2024: more than 4,500 accounts, roughly 19,800 characters created and about 1,350 Discord members.

The project rebuilds Wrath of the Lich King's raids as five-player content, so you can progress through Naxxramas, Ulduar and Icecrown with a small group instead of organising a 25-man roster. Content is released in phases and each season starts fresh. WOTLK5 took its current shape in March 2025, when two projects, WotLK5Man and WotLK5, merged.

Season 2 adds:

• Reworked Mythic dungeons tuned for five-player groups
• A Great Vault weekly reward system
• The Anvil of Creation item upgrader
• Legendary Necklace Enchants
• New transmoggable Druid forms
• Multiple talent specs per character

Update: after feature spotlights on Discord through June and July, Season 2 went live on schedule on 5 August 2026, three days after the project's second birthday.
