On 6 July 2026 WOTLK5 announced Season 2, a fresh seasonal realm scheduled for 5 August 2026, with raids opening on 12 August at 19:00. The announcement shared some project statistics: more than 4,500 accounts, roughly 19,800 characters created and about 1,350 Discord members since the server began in August 2024.
Feature spotlights were posted on Discord through June and July ahead of the launch.
WOTLK5 (formerly two projects, WotLK5Man and WotLK5, merged in March 2025) rebuilds Wrath of the Lich King's raids as five-player content so small groups can progress through Naxxramas, Ulduar and Icecrown without organising 25-man rosters. Content is released in phases and each season starts fresh.
Season 2 went live on schedule on 5 August 2026, three days after the project's second birthday.
