About Aether
Aether is a progressive realm run by a Brazilian team on the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a client. It opened on 1 October 2026 in its first Classic phase, with a level cap of 60 and Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair open. Fourteen phases are planned through Classic, The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, ending with Icecrown Citadel and the Ruby Sanctum. Drops, gold, reputation, honor and professions run at blizzlike x1. Experience from kills and quests is x3 by default, and each character can lower it to x2 or x1 in the addon, while Iron Mode always stays at x1. The realm is PvE with optional world PvP systems, and Horde and Alliance don't mix in groups, guilds, chat or the auction house. The team lists 38 systems of its own around the original game: twelve regions whose safety, prosperity and hostility move vendor prices and set off incursions, world bosses that grow stronger in stages until someone kills them, 71 guild territories with sieges and diplomacy, a Battle Royale arena, duel tournaments with equal kits, an optional Iron Mode with one life per character, dungeon challenges, mentoring, player housing, transmog, crafting orders, kill contracts and PvP bounties. The team says these systems reward titles and Chronicle entries, never stats. The shop takes donation points and sells teleports, character services, titles, transmog sets, house and guild base designs, and time with a companion that follows you and fights at your side for 24 hours. Every account can try the companion free for one day. The shop sells no gear, gold, levels or experience boosts. The server is hosted in São Paulo, so latency is best in South America. The community speaks Portuguese and welcomes English speakers, the game client is in English, and the Aether addon speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish. The team runs a Discord for news and support, and a chat on the website is linked to the in-game Aether channel. The realm is still very small. On 6 October 2026 its status page counted six characters, and the team puts it at under 20 accounts. Since 23 October 2026 about 150 bot characters, which the team calls companions, roam the world. A group leader can call them in to fill dungeons and raids, within limits, and they join the smaller side of a battleground queue so the match can start. They don't count toward territories, seasons or rewards.
