Alpha Project - Brill

Brill is the new progression realm of The Alpha Project, a community that has spent years restoring the World of Warcraft 0.5.3 alpha, the build early testers played in 2003 and 2004. The level cap is 25. Brill is a normal Blizzlike realm where nobody has GM powers, so you level the way those testers did. The team says the core is now very polished but needs players leveling through it to find the remaining quest bugs, pathing problems and other small quirks, and that people level on both the Horde and the Alliance side every week. The project’s original 0.5.3 realm, its main server until now, has been renamed Tel’Abim and turned into a sandbox where everyone has full GM powers. There you can fly around unfinished zones, look at early developer terrain and spawn alpha items you can’t get otherwise, and the accounts and characters already on it are untouched. Unlike most private servers, access is not free. One small, one-time donation gives lifetime access to both realms, which the team says pays for hosting and core development and keeps bots, spammers and griefers out. There is no subscription, cash shop or microtransactions after that. The announcement on Reddit doesn’t say how much the donation is. There is no website, and the setup guides are on the Alpha Project Discord, the same community that runs the Vanilla 1.12.1 realm Kalidar.
