About ForeverWoW
ForeverWoW is an English-speaking private server for WoW Forever, the Classic+ version of World of Warcraft that Blizzard released on 4 November 2026. There were no ready-made server cores for Forever, so the team is writing its own, called ForeverCore. It reads the world data straight from the game client, and the team's rule is that mechanics should work as in the original, not by guesswork. The server has been in open beta since 1 October 2026 and anyone can join, but all characters will be wiped before the real launch. The team says it will announce the date of the wipe and the launch once the critical bugs are fixed, and a new list of fixes comes out almost every day. It also plans rewards for everyone who played in the beta. After the launch, the roadmap opens the first raids, Barrow Deeps for 10 players, Hyjal Summit for 20 and Onyxia's Lair for 40, and a separate Hardcore world with one life comes later. Rates and the ruleset have not been announced yet. To play, you create an account on the website and run Forever Launcher, a single file of about 20 MB that downloads the game and every update by itself. You need about 50 GB of free space, and because the launcher is not digitally signed yet, Windows may warn you before it starts. The launcher has its own chat with guild channels and voice, and you can connect directly or through a proxy in the EU. A test build for Linux is also out. The website has no shop or donation page. Bug reports, questions and guild hunting happen on the English forum, and the Discord has not opened yet. The same team runs Nvord, a Russian-language realm on the same core.
