Moonwell

Moonwell x5 is the main realm of Moonwell, a free Burning Crusade 2.4.3 project running since January 2011. The realm opened fresh on 29 November 2025 under PvP rules, with x5 experience, x2 drops, reputation, professions and honor (honor x3 at weekends) and x1 gold. Content came in five phases: Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep opened in pre-nerf form, Black Temple and Hyjal Summit launched with extra health for Illidan, the Illidari Council and Archimonde, Zul'Aman followed in May 2026 and Sunwell Plateau on 22 July 2026. Arena seasons 1 to 4 award Gladiator titles, and a 40v40 Alterac Valley runs every evening. Changes include dual specialization, cooldown resets after raid wipes and battleground queues from anywhere, and transmogrification arrived through an in-game quest in May 2026. An optional x1 leveling challenge is also offered. The separate x100 realm closed on 14 October 2026, and its characters can move to x5. The community is mostly Russian-speaking, with an English website and Discord. The donation shop sells in-game gold and paid level 70 Fast Start boosts that include gear; players moving from another server can claim a basic Fast Start for free.
