Ohana-WoW

Ohana-WoW is a free Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a realm that opened for alpha testing in October 2026. Its developer wants a calm place for people with little time to play, where you log in, see familiar names and help someone with a quest. That is why experience starts low, at x0.5, with reputation, crafting and honor at x1. The rates go up as the whole realm completes Community Quests, shared goals similar to the war effort, and experience can currently reach x4. The level cap rises in steps from 19 to 29, 39, 49 and 60, then to 70 when Outland opens and 80 for Northrend, with the raids released tier by tier. Community polls set the pace, and a realm-wide vote with a supermajority can move progression on early. Any race can play any class, an NPC lets you swap racial abilities, and Horde and Alliance can play together. Looted, crafted and quest reward items can roll random enhancements. Smaller touches include AoE loot while solo, auto-learned spells, instant cast mounts, a starting zone chooser up to level 6 and rare creatures that give 20 times their normal experience. A 1v1 arena is open up to level 19. In the works are a Karma system, where players commend each other as Supportive, Friendly or a Mentor and spend Karma on cosmetic mounts, pets and tabards, and a weekly spot for one player to help design an NPC and a few quests. During the alpha and beta every character gets a companion to make testing easier. There is no shop yet. The developer plans a small one where anything should also be obtainable by playing, and says openly that AI plays a big role in developing the server.
