Warlords of Azeroth

Warlords of Azeroth is an AzerothCore realm on the 3.3.5a client, capped at level 60 and without Death Knights, built around a dangerous open world. Its 48 zones fall into three risk tiers, and the game tells you which tier you are in every time you cross a border. In the 17 Safe zones, the capitals and starting areas, nothing drops and PvP cannot start. In the 20 Dangerous zones, most of the levelling world, dying costs the gold you carry. In the 11 Highly Dangerous zones, such as Stranglethorn Vale, the Plaguelands, Burning Steppes, Winterspring and Silithus, you also drop up to eight items of green quality or better into a chest that anyone can loot for five minutes. Nothing drops when the killer is ten or more levels above you, between players on the same connection, or in battlegrounds and dungeons. There are no factions: Horde and Alliance group, guild, trade, mail and use the Auction House together, though capital cities and guards are still hostile to the other side, and everyone is flagged for PvP outside sanctuaries. Guilds can capture seven of the deadliest zones, farm more gold inside them and take a toll from outsiders who loot there. PvP gear is crafted instead of bought with honor: blacksmiths, leatherworkers and tailors make the Field Marshal's sets, and so far the head, shoulders and chest of every class set are in the game. Raid gear was toned down so that crafted gear is what players fight in. There is no cash shop. The realm went live in August 2026 and needs your own 3.3.5a client (build 12340) plus the realm's launcher or patch.
