About WOW Hardcore - Permadeath

Permadeath is the progressive hardcore Vanilla (1.12) realm run by WoW-HC, where a character's death is final. It has run on Blizzlike x1 rates since March 2023 and entered Phase 6 (the Scourge Invasion leading to Naxxramas) in July 2026. Deaths caused by disconnects or bugs can be appealed. The server has active GMs, anti-cheat measures and no layering. Hardcore-specific systems include custom achievements and a leaderboard, alongside standard features adapted for hardcore play such as battlegrounds (where permadeath is disabled), cross-faction grouping and Mak'gora duels. Both the 1.12 and 1.14 clients are supported, a PTR is available for testing, and fallen characters can be cloned to the non-permadeath Dawnrest realm.

The server uptime is amazing, there has only been one crash in such a long time, and of course when there is maintenance there is a restart. The quests all work correctly, there are issues with the endgame new content that shows up but the developer is quick with the fixes. Bugs get fixed ASAP and are constantly being worked on. The community is small, but amazing, friendly and very helpful. The staff always responds in a friendly manner and look forward to finding middle ground if an issue arises. There are very little custom features for gameplay, there is a "Chronoboon" questline and a Dual Spec questline.
