Zone WoW

Zone WoW is a Minecraft-inspired sandbox server with instant level 80 on the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a client. It opened on 1 October 2026 at level 255, and later that month the team moved it to level 80 to stay closer to the original WotLK game. Existing characters kept their progress, and the dungeons, custom gear and custom sets were rebalanced, with new set bonuses. New characters start in the Grand Mall with free starter gear and follow a custom quest line through solo dungeons with custom bosses, then 5-player raids up to The Ruby Sanctum and Tier 16 gear. PvE progress unlocks farming zones with nine resources, from wood, stone and iron to herbs and clay, which are crafted into building materials. A Resource Master also trades mining, herbalism, skinning and fishing materials for these resources. Players rent one of 70 properties around Azeroth for gold, ten days at a time, place objects in it and raise the house from level 1 to 10. At house level 10 the #blocks menu lets them build their own structures, up to 50 blocks a day and 1,500 in all. House levels 6 to 10 also unlock custom gems and the Raid Forge and Grand Forge, which upgrade Tier 16 and honor gear. Each player can hire one NPCBot companion and manage its gear, role and talents. Once a day the #boost command gives 30 minutes of extra damage, health or healing, and boosts grow stronger after 7 and 21 days of use. There are also a player market, weekend events, playtime rewards and a weekly lottery. VIP costs 50 Donor Points for 30 days, and Donor Points are credited after a PayPal donation. It gives 1,000 gold and a Berserk Aura every day, one crafted material a day and one rare material a week, and rare materials are also used to craft custom gems. VIP players get three boosts a day instead of one, the block menu before house level 10 and extra building, farm and market slots. The team says VIP is about convenience and that no pay-to-win gear is sold. On 14 October 2026 the realm had 63 accounts and 69 characters.
