Aethro: Reforged

Aethro: Reforged is a custom Wrath of the Lich King realm on the 3.3.5a client, run by the Play Aethro gaming community since July 2026. It keeps the familiar WotLK world and progression and builds its own systems on top: any race can play any class, and a faction allegiance update announced in September 2026 lets characters choose the Alliance or the Horde regardless of race, alongside cross-faction play. Around 2,000 PlayerBots populate the world and can join you for leveling, quests and groups. Rates are 3x experience with 5x quest rewards. Guilds can build Guild Villages with progression, quests and expeditions, and max-level characters continue through post-80 Paragon progression. Other features include playtime rewards, an account-wide reagent bank, auction house bots, AoE looting, a bounty board, old-world flying and armory profiles. The human community is small and growing. A paid shop, a vote shop and a premium subscription offer mounts, cosmetics, titles and convenience items.
