AmdWoW returns as an instant 80 WotLK fun server

AmdWoW came back on 23 February 2026. "After years of silence… the gates are open once again," the team wrote. The server says it first launched in 2006. The relaunch is a fresh start in which everyone begins equal, and the team promised "no pay-to-win".

What it is now

Two days later the team described the new version, a fun server on the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a client:

• Characters reach level 80 as soon as they are created
• Items have x2 base stats
• Custom PvP and PvE zones, custom items and bosses with custom mechanics
• VIP levels 1 to 6, with a bonus drop rate, bonus talents, a bonus gold rate, a coloured name in world chat and access to VIP-only items

A third post that day called the server "in development but live": players could play normally while the team kept adding content.

Not the first comeback

The team had tried before. The AmdWoW YouTube channel posted a teaser called "Once again" in November 2022, and in March 2023 a server list carried an AmdWoW instant 80 realm built around a "CityWar" mode.
