Crusader-Storm puts mounts in the spellbook and adds an achievements addon

Crusader-Storm released a quality of life patch in mid-June 2026, a few weeks before Phase 2. The team says it also pushes regular smaller patches for reported issues.

In the June patch

  • Server achievements can be followed in game. An addon for both the 2.4.3 and 2.5.3 clients shows the achievements you have earned, your progress on the others and some character statistics
  • Mounts go into the spellbook. You still get them as items, but using one adds it to the spellbook, so mounts no longer fill your bags or bank
  • Mounting is allowed in Booty Bay
  • The Auction House no longer sends "Sale Pending" mail, and the money for a sold item arrives after one minute
  • Bind on Pickup items from instances can be traded within the party for 10 minutes, in case someone misclicks at loot

Earlier changes since April

  • Group XP is less punishing. From level 1 to 58, a group with a level gap of 0 to 5 gets 80% XP, falling to 60%, 40%, 10% and 5% as the gap grows. From 58 to 70 it is 50%, 33% or 10%
  • Battlegrounds can start with 10 players on each side
  • Multi spec vendors at the mage portals in Stormwind and Orgrimmar save up to three talent specs for 5 gold
  • A Riding Turtle drops from mobs. In The Burning Crusade it came only from Trading Card Game codes, and here it works at any level and gives 35% speed
  • An Auction House and a mailbox in the central hub of Shattrath
  • Reputation gains are 10% higher

Who is playing

In April and May the team said players from Turtle WoW and Stormforge had come over and started guilds. In May it put the evening population at 200 or more, with peaks around 250. Multiboxing is not allowed, though separate accounts for bank or enchanting alts are fine.

Phase 2 is set for 4 July.
