Eternal Gaming adds Hardcore Mode to Valyndor: one life, no second chances

Eternal Gaming added Hardcore Mode to its Valyndor realm on 4 August 2026. The announcement puts it simply: "One Life. No Second Chances."

How it works

• It can only be switched on for a brand-new level 1 character, with the command .settings hardcore, and the choice can never be undone
• Death is permanent, with no resurrection of any kind
• Every death is announced to the whole server
• Until level 80, a Hardcore character can't receive mail from or trade with normal characters

Like the realm's other extras, Hardcore Mode is optional and stays off unless a player picks it.

Valyndor is Eternal Gaming's blizzlike Wrath of the Lich King realm on the 3.3.5a client. It opened in December 2025 at Phase 2, is still in its Ulduar phase, and has no donations and no shop.
