Eternal Gaming's fresh WotLK realm Velaris gets its first level 80 in a week

Eternal Gaming opened a second realm, Velaris, on 29 August 2026 at 18:00 CEST (16:00 UTC). It is a fresh Wrath of the Lich King realm on the 3.3.5a client, so everyone starts from level 1, while the original realm, Valyndor, carries on in its Ulduar phase.

How Velaris plays

• x1 experience by default, and each player can raise it up to x5
• Optional AoE looting, account-wide mounts, pets, riding and flight paths, transmog and Race Masquerade, all off until a player switches them on
• Cross-faction play, a 1v1 arena, PvP Days and a longer view distance
• No donations, no cash shop and no pay-to-win

The first level 80

A week after launch, on 5 September, a Human Paladin named Nixif became the realm's first level 80. Realm firsts on Velaris only count for characters that never touched the experience setting, so Nixif levelled at x1. The same character also took the first level 80 Human and the first level 80 Paladin.

"We're still a small server and we're not trying to pretend otherwise," the developer wrote on Reddit the day after launch.
