Felborne becomes Starfall and adds an account-wide wardrobe

Starfall is the new name of Felborne. The changelog the team published on 5 September 2026 lists the rename of the server to Starfall and of its realm from Emberstorm to Dusk. The team's EmuCoach thread of 10 September puts it simply: "Starfall was previously known as Felborne. The realm, your characters and your progress are unchanged."

The server runs Cataclysm on the 4.3.4 client and releases content patch by patch. When the team announced the new name, the active patch was 4.1, Rise of the Zandalari. Its own launcher for Windows and Linux patches the client and runs the 64-bit version by default.

What else came in the 5 September changelog

• An account-wide wardrobe. Appearances a player collects work on every character of the account, gear already owned is collected automatically, and everyone can save outfits. The collection itself is part of the subscription, but players without it can still transmogrify any appearance they are carrying
• A higher XP cap. The everyday cap went up to x5, and to x6 during the weekly events
• Ascendant replaced the Starfall+ subscription and grew into a convenience tier: the bank and auction house from anywhere, teleports to the capitals, a forge on the spot and cheaper repairs, flights and talent resets. The team describes it as "convenience and collections only"
• Server messages now default to English, and German clients still get them in German

Since then

Weekly changelogs followed on 6, 10, 13, 17, 23 and 26 September. They made legendary weapons usable as transmog, added an Enchantment Illusionist that changes how a weapon enchant looks, and grew a catalogue of cosmetic appearances from 138 on 10 September to 217 three days later. Many of the other entries are dungeon fixes, 34 of the 46 on 17 September alone. Since 26 September, arena teams can cut the 60-second preparation to 15 seconds when both sides click their ready crystal.
