Firestorm's Midnight open beta goes live with levels 80 to 90 and three raids

Firestorm, the network that runs recent retail expansions, started an open beta for Midnight on Friday, 6 November 2026 at 4 pm server time. The beta realm runs on copies of the characters from Dornogal, Firestorm's live War Within realm, taken on 19 October, so players find their characters already waiting there. All progress on the beta will be wiped, and the post gives no date for a live Midnight realm.

What the beta has

  • The full intro, Silvermoon City as the new hub and the leveling campaign from 80 to 90 through Eversong Woods, Zul'Aman, Harandar and Voidstorm, plus the endgame campaign
  • The raids The Voidspire, The Dreamrift and March on Quel'Danas on all difficulties, and all eight Season 1 Mythic dungeons
  • All Season 1 delves, the Great Vault, item upgrades with crests and the Catalyst
  • PvP Season 1 with every rated mode, and Slayer's Rise, the new 40v40 battleground
  • The Haranir allied race, Void Elf Demon Hunters and Devourer, the new ranged Demon Hunter specialization
  • Housing with the Alliance and Horde neighborhoods, though parts of it are still unfinished

Some content is marked as work in progress and will be added over the coming weeks.

How to join

The Midnight client is in the Firestorm launcher. Players can update their War Within client, which then works for both realms, or install Midnight from scratch. A testing tool called the Replicator hands out free gear, teleports to any raid, dungeon or delve, and can set a character to maximum level. Bugs can now be reported from inside the game on beta and test realms.
