Icecrown Citadel opens on Warmane's Onyxia realm

Icecrown Citadel went live on Onyxia, Warmane's progressive realm, on 6 September 2026. It is the last major raid tier of Wrath of the Lich King, so the realm has now been through The Burning Crusade and every Wrath phase.

Onyxia's Wrath timeline

• 22 December 2025: WotLK pre-patch and Death Knights
• 10 January 2026: level 80 and Northrend
• 17 January 2026: Naxxramas, Eye of Eternity and Obsidian Sanctum; Arena Season 5
• 4 April 2026: Ulduar
• 4 July 2026: Trial of the Crusader (Call of the Crusade)
• 6 September 2026: Icecrown Citadel

From Naxxramas onwards, each raid tier arrived roughly three months after the previous one, the same cadence Warmane uses on its seasonal Frostmourne realms.

Onyxia now has the full Wrath endgame, including the Lich King encounter, ICC hard modes and Tier 10 gear, for a population that levelled together through the whole timeline. Warmane's other Wrath realms, Icecrown (x7) and Lordaeron (x1), have long been fully progressed, which left Onyxia as the network's only "live" progression realm in 2026.

Elsewhere on the network, the Battlegroup 1 arena season ended on 9 August 2026, and a database-wide inactivity cleanup and gold squish was completed on 16 February.
