On 22 December 2025 Warmane released the Wrath of the Lich King pre-patch on its progressive realm Onyxia, exactly as scheduled in the November transition announcement. It was the realm's last major step before Northrend opened.
The full expansion followed on 10 January 2026, raising the level cap to 80 and opening Northrend. One week later, on 17 January, Warmane released Phase 1 raiding – Naxxramas, The Eye of Eternity and The Obsidian Sanctum – together with Arena Season 5.
Onyxia has since progressed through Ulduar (4 April 2026), Trial of the Crusader (4 July 2026) and Icecrown Citadel (6 September 2026), completing a full TBC-to-Wrath journey for the players who joined it at its Burning Crusade launch. For anyone wanting a Wrath realm that still feels like a shared, progressive timeline rather than a fully unlocked Icecrown, Onyxia remained Warmane's answer throughout 2026.
