Origins WoW Asia relaunches as a Wrath of the Lich King realm

Origins WoW Asia, the free server hosted in Singapore for players across South-East Asia, opened its new Wrath of the Lich King realm on 7 November 2026. Its countdown ran to midnight GMT+8, which was 16:00 UTC on 6 November. It is a fresh start, so everyone begins at level 1. Origins ran a Vanilla realm from December 2025 and had moved patch by patch up to 1.7 before the team switched to Wrath.

How the realm works

• Content opens in phases. The launch phase has the Normal and Heroic dungeons, and Tier 7 with Naxxramas comes next
• Rates are 1x, with 2x experience every weekend, and Recruit-a-Friend gives a permanent 3x
• It is an English-speaking PvP realm with the Dungeon Finder and transmog, and the Auction House charges no deposit and takes no cut
• The team added playerbots to keep the world lively while the population is small
• Players who reached level 60 on the old Vanilla realm get compensation, with the details on the team's Discord

Fifteen hours after launch, the highest character in the website's top 10 was level 41. Players with their own 3.3.5a client can connect with the realmlist play.originswow.asia, or download the client from the website.
