Valkyria WoW launches its progressive Cataclysm realm on patch 4.0.6

Valkyria WoW opened its progressive Cataclysm realm on 22 May 2026 at 22:00 CEST (20:00 UTC). The server runs the 4.3.4 client and started on patch 4.0.6, with hardcore mode, Mythic+, cross-faction play, races and classes unlocked and its own launcher.

The last weeks before launch

  • 8 May: only one Cataclysm world boss appears each week, and each character can loot it once a week. Garr became a world boss with several phases.
  • 13 May: the beta opened to everyone without an invitation. Testers who helped were promised vote points.
  • 19 May: the beta ended. The next day the team confirmed that beta characters and accounts would not carry over and that the server would get a full reset.

Mythic+ rules

On launch day the team filled in the Mythic+ rules. Keys drop from the last boss of any Heroic dungeon, and a player can hold one key at a time. From level 7 a third affix joins the other two. Nothing drops from enemies during the run. All loot comes from the chest at the end, scaled to the key level, and not every player gets an item each time. An addon shows the timer, enemy forces, bosses and active affixes.
